Pantos Logistics Wins Prime Minister's Award on Ocean Day
- Pantos Logistics General Manager Lim Seung-taek awarded Prime Minister's Award for Contributions on 15th Ocean Day
Lim Seung-taek, the general manager of Pantos Logistics (CEO, Yeo Sung-koo), Korea's largest logistics company, was awarded the Prime Minister's Award at the "Awards to Honor Contributors on the 15th Ocean Day," which were held at the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, on June 7.
General Manager Lim, Team Leader affiliated to the sea transportation operation division at Pantos Logistics, was honored for his leadership of the company's effort to boost national competitiveness by providing a top quality shipping service to Korea's leading exporters, including LG Electronics.
The awards were inaugurated in 1996 to commemorate Ocean Day, which was introduced to promote the importance of sea and cultivate a spirit of oceanic exploration. Recipients of the award are people and entrepreneurs who make a notable contribution to the development of the marine and fisheries industries in Korea. A total of 192 people, including Pantos Logistics General Manager Lim, were awarded prizes, including orders of merits, awards, and other citations, at this year's awards ceremony, which was attended by Choi Jang-hyeon, second vice minister of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
