Pantos Logistics gains certification to ISO 28000,
security systems management standard for supply chain
Pantos Logistics, the largest logistics company based in Korea gained certification to ISO 28000. Published by the International Standards Organization (ISO), ISO 28000 specifies the requirements for a supply chain security management system, linking security management to many other aspects of business management.
Pantos Logistics participated in the 1st round of ISO 28000 pilot tests organized by Korea Strategic Trade Institute and now gained international certification in supply chain security management by passing strict certification standard
A company official from Pantos Logistics said, ISO 28000 certification demonstrates high service credibility Pantos Logistics offers to its customers and can be interpreted as external recognition with regard to its excellent service quality in international cargo transportation and air cargo storage service.
The company will expand the certification to its overseas business offices including China, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Pantos Logistics has 83 overseas offices across 35 countries world-wide and handles 17 billion TEU and 2.7billion Air cargos annually.
The company expects ISO 28000 certification will greatly help facilitate its international logistics business. By taking a step further, Pantos Logistics plans to gain Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification by Korea Customs and Trade Development Institute by early next year.
