LX Pantos Publishes 2024 Sustainability Report
- Aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050,
reduce GHG emissions by 25% by 2030
- First disclosure of Scope 3 GHG emissions
- Enhanced alignment with global disclosure standards
On June 10th, 2024, LX Pantos (CEO: Yong-ho Lee) announced the release of its 2024 Sustainability Report.
In this report, LX Pantos has set a carbon reduction goal (2050 Net Zero) aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Notably, the company has included Scope 3 emissions, which cover emissions outside the company’s ownership and control, in its disclosures. The intention is to measure and disclose greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by corporate activities across the entire business value chain.
Additionally, the report voluntarily applies high-level global disclosure standards such as:
▲ The 10 principles of the four focus areas of the UN Global Compact
(human rights, labor, environment, anti-corruption)
▲ UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
▲ EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
On top of that, the report content’s accuracy and reliability have been verified by a third-party assurance agency.
Despite being an unlisted company with no mandatory disclosure requirements, LX Pantos has published its second sustainability report (SR), following the publication of its first SR in 2023. The company actively promotes ESG management, as can be evidenced by:
▲ Joining the UNGC
▲ Achieving a B- score in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
▲ Receiving an EcoVadis Committed Badge
▲ Installing solar power generation facilities on the roofs of one of its logistics centers
Speaking about the company’s most recent sustainability report, Maeng Yun-ju, Division Leader of Management Support Department at LX Pantos, stated, “As the global supply chain environment changes and stakeholders’ expectations rise, the advancement of ESG management is becoming essential. We will continue to engage with stakeholders more actively and transparently through a wide range of channels.”
